Officiating

The passion I have for my sport doesn’t stop at practicing and playing. In 2015, I started officiating women’s lacrosse as well as coaching a middle school girls lacrosse team. In 2021, I became a level two USA lacrosse certified official. After hours of classroom training in understanding the rules, and hours on the field practicing administration of these rules, the Utah Chair of Women and Girls Officials awarded me with my level two certification.

By being an official, I am always doing research, learning and being a student of the game. As an official, my job is to make sure that the game of lacrosse is safe. It is important for me to know the rules and be able to administer the penalties so that the players can continue to improve and grow the game. I have officiated over 500 games in the seven years that I have been an official.
