In my time as a college athlete, I was a team captain of my women’s lacrosse team for three years. Players elected team captains based on their ability to lead others. I showed leadership in the way I acted on and off the field. As captain of the lacrosse team, I had the privilege of leading a diverse and talented group of athletes while nurturing an environment of growth, discipline, and collaboration. My leadership was built on a foundation of trust, communication, and a shared vision of excellence both on and off the field.
Through my three years as captain, I gained invaluable experience in leadership, problem-solving, and team management. These experiences have shaped my ability to lead with empathy, maintain focus under pressure, and inspire others to perform at their best, both as athletes and individuals.

I helped facilitate clear communication during games, ensuring everyone was aligned on tactics and focused on execution. As a captain, I also led by example, pushing myself to perform at the highest level while supporting my teammates to reach their full potential.
